Meeting point: In front of Biblioteca Județeană "George Barițiu", Bulevardul Eroilor 33-35 - 08:00 AM. Please be aware that we provide pick-up and drop-off services exclusively within the city of Brașov, as well as for guests staying outside the old town. The pick-up time will vary based on the location requested. Additionally, we are happy to drop off guests at a different location than the pick-up point for an additional fee.

Embark on a journey through Transylvania’s rich history, medieval charm, and stunning landscapes. This full-day tour takes you to three remarkable destinations—Sighișoara, Biertan, and Sibiu—each offering a unique glimpse into the region’s Saxon heritage and medieval past.

Departure from Brașov (Approx. 8:00 AM)

Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from your accommodation in Brașov. As we leave the city, we’ll drive through the scenic Transylvanian countryside, passing rolling hills, traditional villages, and fortified churches that dot the landscape.

Stop 1: Sighișoara – The Last Inhabited Medieval Citadel

(Approx. 2-hour drive from Brașov)

Our first stop is Sighișoara, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved medieval citadels in Europe. Birthplace of Vlad the Impaler (Dracula), this enchanting town is a living piece of history.

Highlights of Sighișoara:

• Clock Tower & History Museum – Climb the 14th-century tower for a breathtaking panoramic view.
• Vlad the Impaler’s Birthplace – See the house where the legendary figure was born.

After exploring the citadel, you’ll have some free time to enjoy a coffee in one of the charming cafés before we continue our journey.

Stop 2: Biertan – The UNESCO Fortified Church

(Approx. 30-minute drive from Sighișoara)

Next, we visit the fortified church of Biertan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Transylvania’s most impressive Saxon strongholds. Nestled in a peaceful valley, Biertan was once the religious center of the Saxon community in Transylvania.

Highlights of Biertan:

• Imposing Triple Fortifications – Discover the thick defensive walls that protected the church from invaders.
• The "Marriage Prison" – Learn about the unique Saxon tradition of keeping troubled couples in confinement to resolve their differences.
